Vladimir Zelensky commented on the use of Iranian drones by Russia. He believes that the fact that Russia turned to Iran for help is the Kremlin’s recognition of its military-political bankruptcy.
This is stated in the address of the President of Ukraine at the end of the 237th day of the war.
For decades, they spent billions of dollars on their military-industrial complex, and in the end they bowed to Tehran to get fairly simple drones and missiles. Strategically, it won’t help them anyway. But now, at the tactical level, the terrorists may still have certain hopes, some calculations. All this will fall apart, like previous calculations,” Zelensky said.
He also said that on October 18, the battle for a normal life for Ukrainians continued. So Zelensky called the opposition to Russian strikes on the energy system of Ukraine.
The President recalled that even today some of the drones and missiles were shot down. In particular, the Dnieper anti-aircraft missile brigade shot down four Caliber missiles, and the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft.
The German IRIS-T “performed excellently. This is a really effective system,” Zelensky said and thanked the partners for their help.
Recall that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said on October 18 that he would submit a proposal to break diplomatic relations with Iran for consideration by the President of Ukraine.
