MEPs will consider a resolution on this issue during the session, which will be held on November 21-24.
The European Parliament approved a request to include in the agenda of plenary sessions a debate on recognizing the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism. The corresponding request was made by a group of conservatives and reformists in Europe. This was said by the MEP from Poland Bogdan Zonca, reports Polskie Radio.
During the vote, 201 MEPs supported the inclusion of the resolution in the debate. At the same time, 99 voted against, another 61 MPs abstained.
“We are pleased that the discussion will take place and that in November we will vote on this resolution, which will show the real relationship between Russia and the EU and show the barbarity of Putin and his entourage, as well as those from in Western Europe to do business with him,” – commented the MEP
The resolution will be discussed and voted on in the European Parliament during the November 21-24 session.
Recall that Russia is recognized as a terrorist country at the level of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe – this is the first such decision. Such a decision can be made in the United States. In particular, the document is already in Congress.
