The Armenian army of Russia began to take out MiG-29 multi-role fighters from storage sites at air bases. This was reported by analysts from MilitaryAviationInUa, based on fresh satellite images.
The published satellite imagery for October 15 shows how a MiG-29 was removed from a military airfield near the Russian city of Millerovo.

From 2009 to 2014, this airfield was not operated. On January 1, 2014, the 31st Fighter Aviation Regiment was reactivated.
On February 25, 2022, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked this air base with a Tochka-U ballistic missile. Then, according to the Ukrainian forces, at least two Su-30SM aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces were destroyed.
At the military airfield in Kursk, the MiG-29SMT fighters, which had not been operated in recent years, were removed from storage. The MiG-29SMT single-seat multipurpose front-line fighter is an upgraded version of the MiG-29SM fighter.
The development of the upgraded MiG-29SMT fighter began at the MiG enterprise in early 1997. The aircraft received new on-board equipment, a large range of weapons and flight range.
