Air defense in southern Ukraine destroyed 11 Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. At the same time, nine Iranian “mopeds” were destroyed by the Air Force, and another “shaheed” by the National Guards and border guards. This was announced on Sunday, October 16, by the order of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“An attack by the Shahed-136 kamikaze drone was again in southern Ukraine. In one hour, from 21.30 to 22.30 on October 16, Air Force soldiers destroyed nine Shahed-136 kamikaze drones,” said of the message.
Recently, in addition to missile strikes, Russia began to actively use Iranian-made kamikaze drones for attacks. Invaders use them to hit infrastructure facilities.
Earlier, social networks reported that the Russian Federation ordered Arash-2 drones from Iran. It is reported that the warhead of these drones is larger than the Iranian Geran-2 drones, which are used by the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine.
