Spare parts for repairing the damaged sides were moved to Kiev, the U.S. Department of Defense representative specified.
Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby briefing on Wednesday, April 20, denied his statement that Ukraine had received planes from US allies.
“It gave me to understand that it was actually decided, but it wasn’t. They didn’t get the whole plane from other countries,” Kirby said.
At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian military has however increased the size of its aircraft fleet after receiving spare parts and repairing damaged aircraft.
Recall, on April 19, Kirby said that Ukraine had received additional fighter jets from other countries, as well as spare parts for them.
However, this information was denied by the Air Force command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
