The US has expanded sanctions against Russia

The United States has extended sanctions against Russia. About 30 other individuals and 40 legal entities were blacklisted, including businessman Konstantin Malofeev and Transcapitalbank. This was announced on Wednesday, April 20, on the website of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

It noted that the sanctions target companies operating in Russia’s virtual currency mining industry, which is the third largest in the world.

In addition, the State Department imposes visa restrictions on 635 Russians involved in suppressing dissenting opinion in Russia and abroad, and also involved in activities that threaten the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the human rights violations in the Donbass.

Visa restrictions will also affect three Russian officials for involvement in widespread human rights violations and 17 individuals responsible for destroying democracy in Belarus.
