The expansion of the scale of the war waged by Russia against Ukraine is reaching its peak, believes Jens Stoltenberg.
The war unleashed by Russia on Ukraine has now reached its most powerful development. This was announced on Thursday, October 13, by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels during a press conference following a two-day meeting of NATO defense ministers.
“President Putin has responded to his failures on the battlefield with attempts at annexation, partial mobilization and insane nuclear rhetoric, indiscriminate attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure. Together, these represent the most serious increase since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February,” he said.
The Secretary General welcomed the vote of the UN General Assembly, held the previous day, which condemned the Kremlin’s attempts to annex Ukrainian territories.
“This is a clear and understandable message. Russia is isolated. The world stands by Ukraine to protect the international order based on rules,” Stoltenberg stressed.
Note that Stoltenberg said that Ukraine will receive hundreds of devices from NATO aimed at combating Russian and Iranian drones.
The Secretary of the General Alliance also announced that NATO will increase its stocks of ammunition and equipment.
