“At about 21:00, a fighter jet of one of the tactical aviation brigades of the Air Force crashed near Vinnitsa. The pilot was successfully ejected and is feeling well. He was performing a combat mission to destroy the enemy Shahed- 136 kamikaze drones over the Vinnitsa region,” the report said.

It was noted that today the pilot destroyed five kamikaze drones: three in southern Ukraine and two in Vinnitsa. And the day before, in a massive rocket attack, he shot down two Russian cruise missiles.
“For unspecified technical reasons, the pilot began to lose control of the engine, but did everything possible to remove the plane from Vinnitsa, and eject. The causes of the accident were established,” said of the ministry.
The Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Mykola Oleshchuk, initiated a petition to award the pilot the high rank of Hero of Ukraine.
Recall that Colonel Igor Bedzai, Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for Aviation, died during the performance of a combat mission.
It was also reported that Ukrainian Colonel Alexander Oksanchenko, one of the best fighter pilots in the world, died in an air battle.
