Israel is ready to organize a meeting between Zelensky and Putin in Jerusalem

Delegations of the Russian Federation and Ukraine could hold meetings in Jerusalem, as happened in Istanbul, Alexander Ben Zvi said.

Israeli authorities have confirmed their readiness to hold a meeting in Jerusalem between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This was stated by Israeli Ambassador to the Russian Federation Alexander Ben Zvi, TASS reports on Wednesday, April 20.

“Israel confirms its readiness to host in Jerusalem a possible meeting between the leaders of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky. But again, they must make the appropriate decision,” the diplomat said.

He also mentioned that Israel would consider it a “great honor” to conduct possible talks between the presidents of the Russian Federation and Ukraine on his country’s territory.

“Delegations of the Russian Federation and Ukraine can hold meetings in Jerusalem, as they did in Istanbul,” Alexander Ben Zvi said, adding that “military action is always the worst option.”

It should be noted that in March, Zelensky offered to talk to Putin in Israel. In his opinion, it is wrong and constructive to meet with Russia, Ukraine or Belarus.
