The G7 leaders have pledged to continue to help Ukraine, including arms and money, as well as help prepare for the winter.
The leaders of the G7 countries reiterated their readiness to continue to support Ukraine, provide it with weapons and provide humanitarian aid. This was stated in the statement of the G7 heads of state and government following a virtual meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday, October 11.
“We assured President Zelensky that we are unequivocally and resolutely committed to providing Ukraine with the necessary support to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the statement said.
The leaders of the G7 countries said they are ready to provide Kyiv with “financial, humanitarian, military, diplomatic and legal assistance, as well as support Ukraine as necessary.”
“We will continue to coordinate efforts to meet Ukraine’s urgent military and defense needs,” the statement said.
In addition, the leaders of the G7 countries stressed that they will help Ukraine in preparing for the winter season.
The G7, among other things, again condemned the recent strikes on Ukrainian territory. The leaders of these countries also called on Belarus not to support the Russian military.
The G7 leaders also pledged to bring to justice Russian President Vladimir Putin and all those responsible for the rocket attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets.
In addition, the G7 accepted an investigation into the incidents of gas leaks from the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines.
The heads of state and government of the G7 countries on Tuesday held talks via videoconference to discuss the situation in Ukraine. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky took part in the videoconference.
It was previously known that Zelensky asked the G7 countries to provide medium and long-range air defense and missile defense systems.
It can be remembered that after Russia’s massive shelling yesterday in Ukraine, US President Joe Biden promised to provide Kyiv with American air defense.
