The OSCE Secretary General, the President and the Secretary General of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly have categorically condemned Russia’s attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine. This was stated on Monday, October 10, in a corresponding statement posted on the website of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
“The current head of the OSCE, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau, Prime Minister of Sweden Ann Linde and Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani, representing the OSCE Troika, as well as the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly that Margareta Söderfelt (MP) of the OSCE Helga Maria Schmid and Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assemblies of the OSCE Roberto Montella categorically condemned the recent Russian attack on the population of Ukraine.
At the same time, the OSCE leadership pointed out that the targets of Russian strikes in Ukrainian cities are “residential buildings, squares and streets at rush hour, parks and playgrounds.”
“These terrible military actions represent a complete disregard and violation of international law, in particular international humanitarian law. The only reason for these heinous and cruel actions is to sow of horror and pay for failures to achieve tactical and strategic objectives on the front. We stand in solidarity with the brave people of Ukraine and the future committed to supporting the cause of protecting our shared values and core commitments of OSCE,” the statement said.
