The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is strengthening the protection of the Belarusian border against the backdrop of the danger of Belarusian aggression.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is strengthening the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the border with Belarus. This was reported by the website of the Ukrainian department on Monday, October 10.

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Igor Bondarenko, reviewed the system subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to repel a potential invasion from the territory of Belarus.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs defines and continues to implement the task of quickly finding the needs of the relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the areas of deployment and their immediate solution. This is the main goal of our working trips – to study the situation in the area and find out the needs,” the official said.

The State Border Service is actively involved in the construction of fortifications, the structural units are “strengthened by the element of fire, which significantly strengthens our defense lines.”

“We are building our capabilities to repel a possible enemy attack from Belarus… The border guards are making every effort to ensure that our country is protected, starting from the border,” Major General Sergei Serdyuk, Deputy Chairman of the State Border Guard Service, said.

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said Ukraine would avoid war if it did not take “wrong steps” and did not “provoke” the co-aggressor country. However, the Belarusian official could not explain what he personally means by “false steps” and “provocations.”

“We note that our neighbors (Ukrainians) are now concerned that aggressive actions may be carried out by the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus. We are talking about the continuous filling of information about the alleged preparation of an attack on our part. We had and still have one answer to this: do not provoke us – we will not fight you. We do not want to fight with Lithuanians, Poles, even Ukrainians. If you do not want and won Do not make false steps, then there will be no war,” he said head of the Belarusian formal department.

In addition, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak commented statement by self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko about alleged “new planned attacks” on Belarus.

“Lukashenko continues to sell the last crumbs of sovereignty to the Russian Federation. The statement about the deployment of the Russian contingent in Belarus under many pretexts is the formalization of the occupation. Ukraine assesses the risks and is ready for any threats,” he said.

According to him, the situation is under control and at the moment there is no talk of a second invasion from the territory of Belarus.

Recall that Lukashenka, after the mass rocket attack by the Russians on October 10, suddenly began to re-assure that Ukraine “planned a strike on Belarus.”
