Kyrgyzstan canceled exercises with the CSTO

CSTO military exercises will be held in Kyrgyzstan in October 2022. Mention of them has disappeared from the organization’s website.

Kyrgyzstan decided to cancel the command and staff exercise with the CSTO forces Indestructible Brotherhood-2022. This was reported by the publication AKIpress in connection with the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the country.

The reasons for the decision were not reported.

The exercises will take place in Kyrgyzstan in October 2022.

Also, mention of the teachings of the Indestructible Brotherhood has disappeared from the CSTO website.

Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan opposed the participation of their citizens in the war launched by the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine.

Kazakhstan assured that the CSTO will not participate in the war against Ukraine.
