Yulia Tymoshenko. – We are entering the third stage of the war. The first phase began on February 24, and Russia’s goal was to launch a blitzkrieg to conquer Ukraine. Vladimir Putin thought that after two weeks he could organize a parade through the streets of Kyiv. But the Ukrainian resistance pushed him back. It was a loss and a surprise to many in the world. The second phase began with other goals: to capture all of Donbas, southern Ukraine and Kharkiv region. He employed a different strategy, that of positional warfare.
