Estonia welcomes the destruction of the bridge in Crimea and congratulates the Ukrainian special forces, the Estonian Foreign Minister said.

Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu welcomed the explosion of the Crimean bridge, Delfi reports.

Reinsalu noted that Ukraine had long announced that one of its goals was to destroy the Crimean bridge and noted that the bridge was not completely destroyed, but part of the road bridge collapsed and the railway tracks were damaged.

“The positive thing is that the movement has stopped,” said the Estonian Foreign Minister.

Reinsalu suggested plans to blow up the bridge today, October 8, because the day before, the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, turned 70 years old.

“I believe this goal is a long time coming,” he added.

Reinsalu also did not rule out the involvement of Ukrainian special services in the bridge explosion.

“Estonia certainly welcomes this and congratulates the Ukrainian special forces who are supposed to be behind this operation,” the minister added.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Russia announced the death of three people as a result of the explosion on the Crimean bridge.
