Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki believes that Russia can send 350 million euros to both Kyiv and EU countries.
Russia’s frozen assets totaling 350 billion euros should be split between Ukraine and the EU. This was said by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at an informal EU summit in Prague on Friday, October 7, according to the Polish edition of Wiadomosci.
The head of the Polish government told reporters what topics were discussed by the representatives of the EU countries.
According to him, he drew attention to the fact that Poland “is subject to enormous tensions related to the war in Ukraine.” Therefore, he reproached his colleagues in the EU that they “keep the gold bars safe and do not use them for the benefit of the inhabitants.”
“I pointed to a resource that is relatively easy to get: the fixed assets of the Russian Federation. They are about 350 billion euros. Today, these funds can be used for the benefit of Ukraine, as well as for the needs of the people of the EU and Poland,” Morawiecki explained.
As you know, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the Rada to pass a law on the nationalization of all Russian properties.
It should be noted that according to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the West has frozen up to $500 billion of Russian assets.
