Also in Paris, they are studying the possibility of supplying 20 Bastion armored vehicles to Kyiv. Macron assured that he will continue to support Ukraine.
French President Emmanuel Macron said Paris is now considering sending additional Caesar self-propelled artillery pieces to Ukraine. On Friday, October 7, BFMTV reports.
“We are working on some requests, with some EU member states, especially with the new Caesar,” he said at a press conference in Prague after the first meeting of the European Political Community.
France has previously provided Ukraine with 18 truck-mounted 155mm Caesar guns with a range of 40km, anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles, advanced armored vehicles (VAB), fuel, personal equipment and about fifteen 155mm towed gun.
Today, Paris plans to supply Kyiv with 6 to 12 additional Caesar guns taken from the order for Denmark. France is also investigating the possibility of supplying 20 Bastion armored vehicles to Kyiv.
“We will continue to support Ukraine from a financial point of view, from a humanitarian point of view and from a military point of view,” Macron said.
France continues to move forward based on requests, and is in very close contact between members of the European Union and countries outside the European Union, Macron said, referring to the UK.
Earlier, military analysts from Oryx reported that France will transfer a batch of military equipment to Ukraine. In Paris, 20 ACMAT armored personnel carriers are being prepared for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as a fund in the amount of 50 million euros, with which Ukraine can buy military equipment from French companies.
