On Wednesday, October 5, SpaceX sent four people to the International Space Station (ISS) on Crew Dragon, including the first Native American woman and the first Russian woman aboard a private American spacecraft. This was reported by Liga.Tech.
The takeoff took place from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
On board were NASA astronauts Josh Kassada and Nicole Mann (a representative of the Round Valley tribes from northern California), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Koichi Wakata and Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina.
By the way, Anna Kikina was the first Russian woman in 20 years to go to the space station with the Americans. The flight was organized according to the cross-flight program of Roscosmos and NASA.
The last time such a joint experience of the two countries took place was in 2002. And Anna became the first girl in the history of Russia to participate in this program.
