The document also confirms Ukraine’s inalienable sovereign right to restore and maintain its territorial integrity within the internationally recognized state borders.

In addition, the document states that the decision was made “in compliance with the generally recognized principles and standards of international law, especially the necessary standards of general international law, as well as existing international agreements of Ukraine, including the Agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation on the Ukrainian-Russian state border of January 28, 2003, which cannot be terminated even as a result of a fundamental change of circumstances in accordance with Article 62 of Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, 1969”.
