The Russian Federation is beginning to assemble new formations from recently mobilized soldiers to the Ukrainian borders.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will never give up on his intention to occupy all of Ukraine, including Kyiv. This was announced on Sunday, October 2, by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Sergei Naev, on the air of the telethon.
“These opportunities exist, of course. Because he will never give up his intentions to occupy Ukraine and the capital of our state directly. This is really in the priorities of his criminal plans,” he said.
At the same time, he noted that at the moment there is no threat of an attack by the Russians on the Ukrainian capital.
“The accumulation of enemy forces for invasion is not observed. What will happen in the future – everything depends on his decisions, as well as the availability of forces and means,” said Naev.
The lieutenant general said that the work was being done so that the invaders would not attack Kyiv again. According to him, the military takes into account the previous experience of conducting military operations in the direction of Kiev and is doing everything necessary to strengthen the defense.
Naev also pointed out that Russia is massing troops on the border of the Sumy region.
“We recorded the arrival of those mobilized for training. About 1.5 thousand people were recorded in the direction of Sumy. At the same time, they are 120 kilometers from the state border and are just starting to prepare,” he said.
We remind, earlier the head of the Kyiv regional military administration Oleksiy Kuleba said that until Ukraine wins the war with Russia, the threat of a second attack on the Kiev region remains.
At the same time, according to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, the attack of the invaders on Kyiv is unlikely – the Armed Forces of Ukraine are strengthening the defense of the capital. Missile strikes remain the main threat.
