Law enforcement officials exposed two residents of Lviv and Volyn regions in a scheme to transport men liable for military service abroad for $8,000, the National Police reported on Monday, September 26.
“According to the “scheme” developed by the defendants, a bus driver, a participant in the transaction, picked up the “client” in front of the checkpoint. Later, during passport control, the employees did not enter with -relevant information in the information base about crossing the border of a particular person, which gave him the opportunity to freely leave the country.
The detention took place on September 22 by operatives, employees of the SBU, customs and prosecutors on the territory of the gas station in the city of Ustilug in the Volyn region.
The organizers were informed about the suspicion of illegal transfer of people liable for military service on the state border, made by prior agreement of a group of people for mercenary motives (part 3 of the article 332 of the Criminal Code of Urkaina). The court took the suspects into custody.
