A lot of pricing depends on the dollar exchange rate – UAH 42 or UAH 48 – this is important for manufacturers and importers.
Ukrainians expect another increase in prices for products, including borscht, milk and eggs. The latter, according to Alexei Doroshenko, director of the Association of Suppliers of Retail Chains, will increase significantly in price, he said on Saturday, September 24, on the air of the United News telethon.
He noted that food prices in Ukraine rose to record highs in the first four months of a full Russian invasion. Today, growth has slowed, but not stopped.

“Until the end of the year and the end of winter we will see the price of 50 hryvnias for a dozen eggs. In December we will have the highest price, but in January it will decrease,” said Doroshenko.
According to his forecast, in the same period we should expect an increase in the price of borscht set. For example, potatoes can cost 30 Hryvnia per kilogram.
“Milk will also increase in price and its prices are higher than in Europe. Although this trend is a consistent phenomenon in recent years,” said Doroshenko.
He added that there will be no shortage of cheese in Ukraine and that the lack of raw materials or long-term milk storage will be solved by importing from Europe. He also emphasized that the exchange rate of the dollar will influence the pricing.
Earlier it was reported that seasonal vegetables have increased in price in Ukraine.
