“The exchange was carried out simultaneously in three locations. One plane was 10 citizens of foreign states who flew from the Russian Federation and flew to the UAE. The other plane – these are five of our commanders from Azovstal – flew to Turkey. And the location where I was directly involved – this is the Chernihiv region on the border of Belarus. We simultaneously received 200 of our heroes and heroines and gave 55 prisoners of war of the Russian Federation,” said Faucets.
According to him, in the Chernihiv region, the prisoners were met by 30 ambulances with doctors and paramedics. Some Ukrainians need medical help from the first minutes after the exchange.
Lubinets added that the conditions of detention of Ukrainians in captivity in Russia are terrible and do not meet international standards.
“Many of our boys and girls are imprisoned, they are given very little food, almost no personal hygiene products … According to our information, our heroes are kept blindfolded for six hours. Know that they were passed to them. , they were still kept on the buses with their eyes closed, and only after the process had begun, at the end of the night they were allowed to remove these bandages,” said Lubinets.
He assured that Ukraine, unlike Russia, strictly adheres to the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
Recall that on the night of September 21, Ukraine returned 215 captured defenders from captivity. 200 of them were exchanged for the people’s representative and godfather of Vladimir Putin, Viktor Medvedchuk, suspected of treason, five – for 55 Russians.
