The decision to create the aforementioned mission may be taken at a similar meeting of the heads of the Union’s Foreign Ministries in October.

“Today, all the ministers decided to continue the aid to Ukraine. We will continue to use the EU mechanism for successful and effective financing of the supply of weapons. We also continued to discuss the proposal for the deployment of a mission of EU military aid to Ukraine. This work is being done, we hope that we will soon see a concrete result,” said the politician.
He noted that the decision to create the said mission could be taken at a similar meeting of Union foreign ministers in October.
“I hope that at the next meeting in October we will be able to make a decision, which is very fast for European standards. … We will be able to submit a proposal to the foreign ministers at the meeting in October. It will be a very fast procedure. But it must be agreed on the Ukrainian side,” Borrell concluded.
As reported, Brussels will send 5 billion euros of macro-financial aid to Ukraine in mid-October.
