Scholz and Rutte discussed military support for Ukraine

The heads of government spoke about Dutch-German military cooperation on the issue of military aid to Kyiv.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte held a telephone conversation on Monday, September 19. The heads of government discussed additional military support for Ukraine in the war with the Russian Federation. About that know Rutte on his Twitter account.

“We welcome the recent successes of the Ukrainian military. They show that international military support is working. We agreed that we will continue our support, including due to Dutch-German military cooperation in the war in Ukraine,” he stressed of the Dutch official.

He added that he also discussed with Scholz the measures to overcome the energy crisis in Europe.

Remember, according to Scholz, Germany is helping Ukraine with enough weapons, and the decision to transfer this or that equipment was made in coordination with the allies.

Rutte had previously said that the Netherlands would continue to support Ukraine in its war with Russia.
