Russia’s goal has not changed, it wants to force Ukraine to renounce its Euro-Atlantic orientation and assert its regional dominance. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense Twitter.
According to them, Russian forces continue to transfer military equipment and support from Belarus to eastern Ukraine. The forces arrived at locations near Kharkov and Severdonetsk.
In addition, Russian artillery continues to attack Ukrainian positions in the east of the country, where Russia plans to continue its offensive activities.
“While Russia’s operational focus has shifted to eastern Ukraine, Russia’s ultimate goal remains the same. It aims to force Ukraine to abandon its Euro-Atlantic orientation and assert its regional dominance,” the statement said.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the occupiers were preparing to conduct a landing naval operation in Mariupol. Later, Russia set a condition for Mariupol’s defenders.
