At the same time, the Armenian side reported at least 135 dead soldiers in its ranks.
Azerbaijan says 77 Azerbaijani servicemen have been killed in clashes on the border with Armenia this week. The report received such data from the country’s Ministry of Defense.
On Friday, August 16, the ministry announced the death of six servicemen of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. Thus, the total number of soldiers killed in the clashes in Armenia reached 77.
However, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that as a result of the escalation of the conflict with Azerbaijan, 135 Armenian soldiers were killed. He said this at a government meeting.
“We know about the death of 135 servicemen during the fighting with the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. But, unfortunately, we know that this figure is not final,” said the prime minister.
Recall that on the night of September 13, the Azerbaijani army began a battle against Armenia. In particular, they carried out intensive shooting of Armenian positions from artillery and large-caliber guns in the direction of Goris, Sotk and Jermuk. Baku accused Yerevan of provocation.
