Within five days, the Ukrainian army changed the dynamics of the conflict. It also proved – to Moscow, its people, but also to the West – that it is capable of significant gains, whereas just a few days ago many foreign observers feared a protracted conflict in which the two sides would find themselves again. More than eight years after the Russian invasion began in 2014.
