In Armenia, on Tuesday, September 13, protests began near the Armenian parliament building, where participants demanded the impeachment of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, reports Sputnik Armenia.
It was noted that representatives of several opposition parties and relatives of soldiers killed in the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh gathered in front of the entrance to the National Assembly in Yerevan. The protesters are demanding the initiation of impeachment proceedings against the Prime Minister of the Republic, Nikol Pashinyan.
The protesters said they intended to block all entrances to the parliament building on September 14. Some of them also spent the night outside the building.
Today, the Armenian Parliament will continue its work within the framework of the regular session; a government hour is also planned.
In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia stressed that the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border remains tense.
It will be remembered that on Tuesday night, the Azerbaijani army started military operations against Armenia. Intensive shelling of Armenian positions from artillery and large-caliber guns was carried out in the direction of Goris, Sotk and Jermuk.
Later, Azerbaijan announced the completion of all border works with Armenia.
