Dmitry Peskov commented on the “emotional” reaction of social networks to the failures of the Russian military in Ukraine.
Critical statements about the “special military operation” of the Russian Federation in Ukraine in the light of the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are allowed, but the line in this matter is “very unsteady.” This was said at a briefing on September 13 by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, reports Interfax.
“As for other, critical points of view, as long as they remain within the framework of the current legislation, this is pluralism. But the line is very, very thin. You have to be very careful here,” he stressed.
So the spokesman of the Russian leader answered the request of journalists to comment on critical posts on Telegram channels related to the latest events in Kharkiv and Kherson regions, where Russian troops were defeated and retreated.
Peskov noted that public opinion is responding “very emotionally,” but that “Russians support the president” and his decisions.
Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine removed the occupation of most of the Kharkiv region within a few days, and in some places reached the Russian border.
In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue a successful counter-offensive in the Kherson region. According to the American Institute for the Study of War, Russian troops left Kiselevka, located 15 km northwest of Kherson.
