Russian propaganda was “extremely primitive, predictable and disgusting,” and the world understood it, Mikhail Podolyak said.
Because of the total deception, Russian propaganda no longer has and will never have such an influence on the previously observed world community. This was stated by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak during his participation in the Information War panel as part of the 17th meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES), the press service of the President reports of Ukraine.
“Russian propaganda has always been distinguished by its scale, mass character, irreverence of lies, high costs, hilarious execution. Many people are involved, a lot of money is invested, many tools and platforms . Propaganda literally flooded the Russian people with hatred. and regularly frightened Europeans, who expanded and expanded with its apocalyptic legends. And as a result – almost no effect on global public sentiment in the first 200 days of war,” he said.
Podolyak noted that Russia’s “factory of lies” lacks the “ninth wave of fakes” to convince the world of the inevitable victory of Russia’s will, because Russian propaganda is so primitive, predictable and disgusting- hate
“First, Ukraine, as the main target, hardly reacts to any Russian media hysteria. Perhaps ironically and sarcastically. Because Ukraine knows Russia very well – its stupidity, its “show-offs”, its primitive cultural invasion, the real quality of life,” – said Podolyak.
In addition, Mikhail Podolyak believes that Russia in information remained alive in 2014, still broadcasting stories about national battalions, biological laboratories, confrontation with NATO, shelling of Donbass, about supposedly dead children and flowers to meet Russian tanks.
“This is a wild archaism. The ideas about Ukraine and the world among Russian propagandists have not changed at all. They really believe that they can come, arrest, kill, and everything will be like Crimea,” he says.
Moreover, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President believes that the political elite of the Russian Federation has honestly fallen in love with their own propaganda and therefore lost touch with reality.
“They don’t need the objective truth. They really believe that the world is very afraid of them, that they are the second army of the world, that they know how to fight modern wars not by quantity, but by creativity, and they could do evil with impunity,” said Mykhailo Podolyak.
But, according to Podolyak, the Russian Federation has been building a pro-Russian lobby in other countries for many years, and in the first stage of the invasion of Ukraine, it allowed European societies to experience – at least for a short time – shock, misunderstanding. and stunned, seeing the reality, the world quickly abandoned the imposed stereotypes .
“The total collapse of Russian propaganda in the world has already begun,” said Mikhail Podolyak.
In his opinion, the fact that the Russian Federation demonstratively and brutally killed Russian-speaking citizens in eastern Ukraine also contributed to the destruction of Russia’s “myth factory”.
“Of course, right now Russia is trying to find more subtle propaganda tools to influence two different audiences: European and Asian-African. Therefore, our task in the short term is to prove the severity of the direct impact of war on the current standard of living,” Podolyak summarized.
Earlier, Podolyak addressed the leadership of the Russian Federation, saying that in the so-called “special operation” Moscow achieved goals that were directly opposite to those declared.
