The chances that Moscow will use nuclear missiles in Ukraine are slim. America is ready to respond in response, says Ben Hodges.
The United States of America cannot stand aside if Russia uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine. About that expressed retired American lieutenant general, former commander of US forces in Europe, veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Ben Hodges on his Twitter account.
The military commented in this way on the assumption that Putin “out of desperation” would launch a tactical nuclear strike on the territory of Ukraine.
Hodges noted that there is such a risk. However, in his opinion, this is unlikely.
“There is no real advantage on the battlefield, it will be impossible for the US to stand still / not react, and I don’t think Putin or his closest advisers are suicidal,” the military concluded.
Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that there are no winners in a nuclear war, and it should not be unleashed.
