Ukraine intends to continue demanding tougher sanctions against the Russian Federation: the imposition of sanctions in the field of nuclear energy, the refusal to import uranium from Russia.
The plan for Russian sanctions, presented in April, has been implemented by 70%. This was announced on Thursday, September 8, by the head of the Office of the President Andrey Yermak at a meeting of the International Expert Group on Sanctions Against Russia held in the form of a videoconference, the website of the President reports.
During the sanctions discussion, Yermak suggested that members of the Yermak-McFaul team focus on the issue of recognizing Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.

Another important issue, as Yermak mentioned, is the ban on obtaining visas for Russian citizens.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the need to impose sanctions against Russia in the field of nuclear energy, the refusal to import Russian uranium. They also discussed the systematic step-by-step implementation of the price cap on Russian oil, which “will significantly reduce the budget revenue of the Russian Federation and affect its oil industry.”
It will be remembered that the Russian government has calculated that they will lose 6.6 billion dollars due to the decision to completely stop the supply of gas to the countries of the European Union.
Recall that the United States of America imposed sanctions against the daughters of Vladimir Putin – Katerina Tikhonova and Maria Vorontsova – about which the Russian President never spoke publicly.
