According to Yegor Kuroptev, director of the Free Russia Foundation in the South Caucasus, neither the profession, nor the fact of living in Georgia, nor the existence of a lease agreement is important.
“If there is no residence document, residence permit, then no other documents guarantee entry to Georgia for Russian citizens,” he said.

Almost every day, cases of refusal of entry to Russians from Turkey in private vehicles began to be recorded. This was reported by the Consulate General of Russia in the Turkish city of Trabzon.
From March to June 2022, 3,036 citizens of the Russian Federation were denied entry to Georgia. The reasons for this were not explained to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
It was noted that one sixth of the Russians who came to Georgia after the start of the war in Ukraine stayed in this country for more than a month.
