“In 2021, we imported 22 billion cubic meters of LNG from the US. From January to September of this year, we received more than 40 billion cubic meters,” he wrote on Twitter.
The European Commissioner added that the United States has already implemented an agreement to supply the EU market with additional volumes of LNG in the amount of at least 15 billion cubic meters.
At the same time, in August, supplies of liquefied natural gas in Europe fell to a six-month low.
