Most people left Russia for Ukraine (79.6 thousand), Tajikistan (58.4 thousand), Armenia (49 thousand), Kyrgyzstan (43.6 thousand), Kazakhstan (40.7 thousand) and Uzbekistan (38.6 thousand).
Among non-CIS countries, the leaders are China (6.6 thousand), Vietnam (5.4 thousand) and India (4.1 thousand).
According to Rosstat, since the beginning of the year, the total population in Russia decreased by 480.6 thousand people, or 0.33%. The natural decrease of the population reached 383.8 thousand people against a decrease of 421.9 thousand in 2021.
