The newly elected Prime Minister of Great Britain Liz Truss may come to Kyiv in the near future. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started to prepare the politician’s visit. This statement was made by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK Vadym Prystaiko on the air of the telethon.
The diplomat recalled that the last time Truss was in Kyiv was on February 17, seven days before the start of a full-scale Russian invasion. Then he repeatedly expressed his desire to go to Ukraine.
“When (Truss) formally becomes prime minister (September 6), I think there will be a call immediately, and the arrangements for the visit of Liz Truss will not take long. We, as a diplomatic system, have already started prepare this conversation, and the arrival of Liz Truss in Kyiv” said Prystaiko.
Recall that the country’s current Foreign Minister Liz Truss was elected the new leader of the Conservative Party and, accordingly, the head of the British government. She became the third female Prime Minister in the history of the United Kingdom after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.
