Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan proposed to make Turkey a mediator on the issue of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant occupied by Russian troops, following the example of how it was in the “grain agreement”. He said this in a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Anadolu Agency reports.
The Department of Communications under the President of Turkey reported that Erdogan and Putin discussed regional issues, in particular, the development of grain exports, the situation at the nuclear power plant of Zaporozhye, as well as Turkish-Russian relations.

Erdogan and Putin agreed to discuss all these issues in detail at a meeting in Samarkand, where they will meet on the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit on September 15-16.
