President Gustavo Petro called the incident a sabotage of peace in Colombia.
In the north of Colombia, in the city of San Luis, unknown people planted a bomb on the route of a police car. The explosion killed eight people. This is what President Gustavo Petro said, Reuters reports on Saturday, September 3.

The head of state called the incident a sabotage of the work to establish peace in the country. He also expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
“I strongly condemn the bomb attack that killed eight policemen in San Luis,” he said.
Colombia’s police chief, Enri Sanabria, indicated that officers had been sent to San Luis to investigate.
Recall that in May of this year, a new Pablo Escobar, the leader of the largest Colombian drug cartel, the Gulf Clan, drug lord Dairo Antonio Usuga, nicknamed Otoniel, was deported from Colombia to the United States.
