It is impossible to divide Russians into good and bad, which allows some to travel to the West, while others do not, believes the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The head of the Ukrainian government, Denys Shmygal, called on the European Union to introduce a visa ban for citizens of the Russian Federation. On Friday, September 2, he said in an interview with the German Press Agency, Wiwo wrote.
“It is impossible to divide Russians into good and bad. It is necessary to organize a cold shower for Russian society – in the form of a ban on issuing visas to tourists and students,” he urged .
Shmyhal noted the fact that polls show that about 80 percent of the Russian people support the war against Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, this is not only Putin’s war. 200,000 Russian soldiers are fighting in Ukraine. Even if their families say nothing against it, the population as a whole supports this war,” Shmihal said.
He emphasized that Russians cannot be divided into good and bad.
“It is intolerable for us that some Russians kill and rape people in our country, while the rest live well in the West, go on vacation, enjoy the dolce vita,” Shmyhal said.
The previous day, the European Union agreed to suspend the simplified procedure for issuing visas to Russian citizens, although it was proposed to introduce a complete ban on issuing visas.
