The White House believes that Tehran’s position is “unconstructive.” Iranian authorities do not agree with this opinion.
Iran has “given a constructive response” to US proposals aimed at continuing Tehran’s nuclear deal. However, the United States disagrees. This is what Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said, Reuters reported on Friday, September 2.
“The text sent (by Tehran) contains a constructive approach aimed at completing the negotiations,” the Iranian official said.
The US State Department was not satisfied with the response received.
“We can confirm that we have received Iran’s response through the EU. We are studying it and will respond through the EU, but, unfortunately, it is not constructive,” department employees said.
“Some gaps have closed in recent weeks, but others remain,” said White House National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson.
Recall that the European Union has put forward the final text of the proposal for the renewal of the 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran.
In addition, the ISW believes that Russia has begun to implement Iranian strategies to manipulate and possibly delay the mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
