The dry cargo ship Lady Zehma was able to move at a slow speed, accompanied by several tugs.
Vessel Lady Zehma was refloated in Bosphorus Strait with grain from Ukraine. This was reported on the eve of the local edition of the Maritime Executive.
According to reports, after the cargo ship got stuck in the strait, rescue tugs were sent to help.
“On Thursday night, the ship was moving slowly, accompanied by several tugboats,” the report said.
The 173-meter dry cargo ship Lady Zehma carrying 3,000 tons of Ukrainian corn was earlier reported to have run aground in the Bosphorus Strait. The ship’s rudder failed. Traffic across the strait is temporarily suspended for security reasons for the duration of the operation.
According to the UN, in the first month of the grain corridor, the movement of 139 ships was allowed – 77 arrived at Ukrainian ports and 63 left them. The total tonnage of grain and other agricultural products exported from the three ports of Ukraine is more than 1.5 million tons.
