More than 4,600 people died in Spain last summer from heat-related causes. It was reported on Thursday, September 1 by Europa Press in relation to the Carlos III Health Institute.

Most of the deaths due to abnormally high summer temperatures were in the autonomous community of Madrid (1,292), followed by Castile and León (576) and Catalonia (575).
It was previously reported that historical monuments appeared in Spain due to drought. The ancient stone circle and the church were discovered as the country’s reservoirs reached 36% of normal due to heat.
