The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak, believes that the idea of limiting the price of Russian oil is completely absurd.
Russia will not provide oil and oil products to countries that will support the price limit, because it does not “work in market conditions,” said Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak, RIA Novosti reports.
“We are only for such companies or countries that will impose restrictions, we will not supply them with oil and oil products, since we will not work under non-market conditions,” he said.
Novak also said that “the idea of capping the price of Russian oil is absolutely absurd” and that “consumers in the EU and the US will pay for it.”
Earlier it was reported that the G7 is introducing a cap on Russian oil prices. G7 leaders want to mobilize all oil-consuming countries against Russia.
