In Turkey, a turtle attacked a tourist from Russia

The loggerhead sea turtle can weigh up to 170 kilograms. This highly carnivorous reptile preys on crabs, crayfish and other mollusks, which it crushes with its powerful beak.

A 64-year-old woman from Yekaterinburg was attacked by a loggerhead turtle while she was swimming in the sea near the popular resort of Guzeolalab in Antalya, western Turkey. The New York Post reported it.

According to Russian woman Lidia Bazarova, she was swimming near the beach when someone grabbed her back with her leg. After that, he bit the Russian girl again, but with the hand, it turned out to be a turtle. He started screaming, then a lifeguard helped him, thanks to which the woman was able to swim to shore.

The victim was taken to the hospital. Doctors found hematomas and bite marks on the body. Her injuries were not life-threatening, Bazarova said, and she may never return to the water again.
