The leaders of Markovskaya and Melovskoye united communities of the territory of the Lugansk region were announced on suspicion of high treason (part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General on Thursday, April 14.
“The suspects went on the side of the aggressor country and, under martial law, provided assistance to representatives of the Russian Federation in carrying out subversive activities against Ukraine,” the report said.
According to the investigation, the leaders of territorial communities deliberately continue to take actions aimed at destroying the sovereignty, territorial integrity, inviolability, defense capabilities and state security of Ukraine.
According to data from open sources, it is known that Oleg Savchenko is the leader of the Melovskaya community, Ivan Dzyuba is the leader of the Markovskaya community.
Earlier in the Kiev region, a “village chief” was detained for cooperating with the occupiers. He repeatedly openly called on local residents to cooperate with the occupiers.
