Britain will station military aircraft at civilian airports

London took a step forward for the first time since World War II. It will be more difficult for the enemy to target them.

For the first time since the Second World War, the UK will deploy its military aircraft to civilian regional airports across the country. This decision was made against the backdrop of growing tension in relations with Russia, reports Sunday, August 28, the Daily Express, citing high-ranking sources.

“The concept, called Agile Combat Employment (ACE) has been in development for more than a year and is primarily intended for use in potential hotspots around the world such as the Indo-Pacific, the Middle East, or even the eastern part of NATO in Europe But Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and fears of a subsequent NATO-led war mean that ACE has accelerated and spread to the UK.

The stationing of military aircraft at regional airports makes it difficult to target them, according to military experts.

It was previously reported that Britain would help Ukraine restore infrastructure destroyed by the war. The relevant agreement has already been signed.
