The Ukrainian flag, 430 meters long, was unfurled across the Park Pedestrian Bridge to Trukhanov Island in Kyiv.
On Sunday, August 28, the two banks of the Dnieper were symbolically united by the state flag as part of the art action “Ukraine – United”. Temporarily displaced residents of Mariupol, Melitopol and other cities of Ukraine took part in the event. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
Two banks. One flag. United and indivisible Ukraine. In Kyiv, as part of the art action “Ukraine United”, Ukrainians symbolically connected the left and right banks of the Dnieper with a flag 430 meters long, said Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko.
According to him, the unification of the banks of the Dnieper River with a yellow-blue flag shows the unity of Ukrainians in the struggle for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
Recall that on the Independence Day of Ukraine, an army of drones raised the honorary flags of the legendary brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the sky over Kyiv. Thus, the organizers of the event wanted to thank all the servicemen who are fighting for freedom on the field.
