As part of the grain initiative, four dry cargo ships with agricultural products will go to sea from the Ukrainian ports of Pivdenny, Odessa and Chornomorsk on Monday, August 29. This was reported to the Joint Coordinating Center (JCC) in Istanbul.
So, the ship Karteria with 37.5 thousand tons of wheat will leave Pivdenny for Turkey. This batch of grain was purchased by the World Food Program. In Turkey, the wheat will be processed into flour, which will then be sent to Yemen on another ship.
Two more ships – Peace M and Ash Baltic – will take 24.48 thousand and 11 thousand tons of corn from the port of Odessa and go to Romania and Egypt, respectively.
In addition, the dry cargo ship Anastasia will leave Chornomorsk for Turkey with 3.8 thousand tons of wheat.
According to SKC, on Sunday, five vessels were inspected by experts, and nine more are scheduled to be inspected.
As reported, in August, almost fifty ships left Ukrainian ports along the grain corridor, exporting more than 1 million tons of agricultural products to 15 countries of the world.
