The shadow of the world’s largest aircraft An-225 “Mriya” was created in a wheat field in Denmark.
The Ukrainian sculptor Nikita Zigura worked on this, creating a shadow measuring 80 m. Along with the “Dream”, he reproduced the shadows of an unmanned aerial vehicle and an enemy Russian SU-27 fighter in real size. This was announced on August 28 by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy in a Telegram.
It is a symbol of the victory of Ukraine, a symbol of the victory of life over death. Yes, unfortunately, the plane that we are proud of was destroyed by the invaders, but this does not mean that our spirit and faith in our own strength were destroyed! We’ll fix everything. And the plane, of course, too, – said Zigura.
The ministry explained that the first shadow means that Ukrainian heroes are protecting the sky, and the Russian fighter indicates a threat that residents of other countries see only in the news.
Recall that by the beginning of the war, the flagship of the Ukrainian aviation was in Gostomel for repairs and was destroyed as a result of the Russian invasion. In March, the Antonov State Company established the International Fund for the Revival of the An-225 Mriya transport aircraft.
